Misha is a stunning traditional Berber style wool rug featuring the natural colour of the New Zealand wool blend and complemented by a contrasting tribal pattern. Designed in-house as part of the exclusive Miss Amara Collection, the Misha rug is a very traditional style Berber rug, handcrafted using a beautiful blend of natural cotton and New Zealand wool for an impossibly luxurious, dense pile of super soft fibres that are a dream underfoot.
Featuring the signature Berber natural wool colour and simple, oversized diamond pattern in contrasting black, Misha has been finished with beautiful hand knotted tassels and wool washed for a softer, relaxed finish that will instantly look at home in it’s setting. Adored by the likes of Henri Matisse and Alvar Aalto, Berber rugs have been a design icon and staple of refined luxury since their rise to popularity in mid-century design. To this day, they are still handcrafted using the same time-intensive pile knot technique used by the Beni Ouarin tribe of Morocco for more than 1,000 years.
An iconic design piece, Misha’s neutral colour palette and simple design make it a versatile style and it’s dense low pile and low-shed natural fibres mean that it is a practical way to add a sense of everyday luxury to your home.

This product is lovingly handmade by skilled artisans and as such may encounter variations in pattern and colour which may vary from the images shown, this is entirely normal and part of the inherent nature of the production techniques. The size may also vary up to 5% in length and width due to natural variations in materials.
Natural shedding can be expected and this is normal. New wool rugs will shed lightly in the first few months and will be low-shed after this time. The shedding will lessen after the first 3-6 months depending on the level of use.

I love my rug and this is my second purchase from Miss Amara and the customer service has always been fantastic. I just wish that the next size up had been available as the rug is a touch small for the area.
