Our range of Berber rugs have been exclusively designed in house to capture the classic, mid century styling popularised throughout Scandinavian living and interior design.
All of our rug orders are shipped for free anywhere in Australia, which includes our hallway rugs and extra large rug range in traditional Berber. These classic black and white rugs are available in sizes up to 400 cm x 300 cm making them ideal long-wearing pieces for high trafficked areas like central lounge and livings rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms for your home, throughout office environments and even in schools. They are constructed from only the highest quality wool sourced from New Zealand which makes them shed less than you would expect from other organic fibre floor rugs.
What is a Berber rug?
The Berber style is generally high contrast two tone in a simple pattern featuring geometric shapes. The Berber rug owes its origins to people of the snow capped Atlas mountains of Morocco. For centuries, nomadic tribes from this area wove intricate, hand knotted wool rugs known as Moroccan Berber in an ancient weaving technique stretching back over 1,000 years. Berber carpet is characterised by its thick woollen pile and simple vintage styling most commonly of a black tribal inspired design on white, ivory, grey and beige. The most popular and well known of these designs is the classic diamond pattern.

They suit urban apartments, suburban family living and coastal, laid back vibes with design elements inspired by ancient tradition and modern abstract like the Himani abstract Berber in classic black and white.
Embracing the crisp simplicity of the traditional Moroccan style rug, the Allefra diamond pattern Berber and Misha tribal pattern Berber rugs are the quintessential pieces of our collection. These pieces consist of a high quality woollen weave in natural white with a contrasted black diamond motif.
The Simrika cream and ivory Berber area rug is a celebration of sleek and clean colour, making it the ideal piece for high contrast furnishings like accent pieces in the lounge and dining room.
