What is a traditional rug?

A traditional rug is usually a piece inspired by classic designs like Oriental rugs in rich and intricate detail, Iranian rugs with classic styling patterns, tribal geometric patterning of traditionally diamond shapes and which typically embrace similar colour schemes to those found in these ancient works of art.
